What are your COVID-19 protocols?
All Magic Parlour team members are fully vaccinated.
All guests must present proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 72 hours of showtime. Guests who cannot provide proof of vaccination or a negative test result will not be admitted to the show.
All guests - including those who are fully vaccinated - must wear face coverings.
Capacity is reduced to fewer than 40 guests to allow as much social distance as the venue will permit.
Dennis Watkins is fully vaccinated and will be unmasked during the performance. He is being regularly tested.
The show is recommended for guests age 12 and older. If you are bringing guests under the age of 12 who are not eligible for vaccination, they need not provide a negative test result. However, they must wear a proper 3-layer face covering at all times.
We are grateful to be working with the Palmer House, A Hilton Hotel. Hilton has updated its policies, services and processes to ensure the safest experience possible.
Where do I check in?
Check in at Potter`s Chicago Burger Bar located on the Lobby Level of The Palmer House at 17 E. Monroe St.
All tickets are held at will call. Bring your confirmation on your smart phone or print it out.
When should I arrive?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your show time. Late seating is at the discretion of the House Manager.
Is there reserved seating?
Seating at The Magic Parlour is general admission for fewer than 50 guests. The room is arranged in a cabaret style giving everyone a wonderfully close-up experience of the magic.
Seats may be assigned by our front-of-house staff.
How long is the show?
The Magic Parlour is a 90-minute experience. There is no intermission. Guests adding The Encore Room will have an additional 25-minute show immediately following the performance.
Is there a dress code?
Cocktail attire is recommended for everyone attending this magical night! Guests in casual or torn jeans, shorts, t-shirts, tennis shoes, flip-flops, or ball caps may not be admitted.
Is there an age limit?
The Magic Parlour is a grown-up night out. There is nothing unsuitable for children in the show. However, it is designed for an adult audience. The show is open to guests age 12 and up. Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by adults and will be seated with their chaperones.
Are food and drinks included?
Beer, wine and soft drink selections are included with your admission. Food is not permitted in the show room.
We are pleased to offer a special Magic Menu through Lockwood Restaurant inside of the Palmer House for guests who wish to dine before or after the performance.
What is your cancellation policy?
Due to the limited inventory available for this intimate experience, all ticket sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges.
Can you accommodate my accessibility needs?
Absolutely! The Palmer House is fully accessible, and all floors may be accessed by elevator, located on the south end of the hotel. If you or someone in your party uses a wheelchair or would like additional time to get to your seats, please let us know and we will make arrangements.
While we do not offer assisted listening devices, all seats are within 20 feet of the performance.

Where should I park?
Guests of The Magic Parlour receive special discounted parking from our parking sponsor, InterPark. Enjoy a discounted rate of $17 at the lot located at Adams and Wabash, just one block south of the hotel. Guests must pre-purchase this parking with the calendar below to take advantage of the discounted rate.
Can I get there by train?
Yes! The Palmer House is located in the heart of downtown Chicago and is less than a block from the CTA Red Line and Blue Line Monroe station.
Can you recommend a nearby place for dinner?
There are a number of wonderful dining options within walking distance of the Palmer House.
The Magic Menu at Lockwood Restaurant — Dine in the gorgeous lobby of the Palmer House on a Prix-Fixe Menu made exclusively for guests of The Magic Parlour. The cost for the Magic Menu is $41 (including tax and gratuity) and can be added to The Magic Parlour ticket price up to 24 hours in advance of your showtime by calling (312) 300-6803. The Magic Menu is currently unavailable. This option will resume as soon as Lockwood Restaurant reopens.
Miller’s Pub — Steak and chops, with plentiful offerings of classic salads, sandwiches and casual fare for all ages — 134 S Wabash, next door to the Palmer House
Vapiano — Casual family-friendly Italian fare with counter service — 44 S Wabash, across the street from the Palmer House
