Experience 3 World-Class Magicians as close-up as it gets. Enter The Magic Parlour, grab a cocktail from the bar and have a seat at the card table with one of Dennis Watkins’ all-time favorite close-up magicians. After a whirlwind half-hour, your magician will move onto the next group and you’ll meet your second entertainer for the night. Spend another half hour before one more rotation brings a third conjurer to your table. Plus, there will be ample bar breaks built into the evening so that you can sample all of The Magic Parlour’s magical drink creations. Performers will rotate.

Luis Carreon

Luis Carreon is an accomplished and well-respected magician. He won the Harlan Tarbell Close-up Competition Award from the International Brotherhood of Magicians two years in a row. He also took home first place at the Chicago Magic Competition hosted by The Society of American Magicians.

With his unique style of humor and wisdom, Luis regularly travels the country teaching other magicians about the art of magic. He is, also, the head demonstrator at Magic Inc., the oldest family-owned magic shop in the country. In addition, he is also a frequent performer at the famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, California. Luis can be seen performing regularly at The Chicago Magic Lounge where he is also one of the founding members.

Derek Hughes

The live performances of celebrated conjurer, “Stand Up Magician” Derek Hughes, have been lauded by audiences and critics alike, with the New York Times calling him “thoroughly entertaining.”  Hughes has performed his magic on MTV, VH1, Comedy Central, CW's Penn & Teller: Fool Us and the Ellen DeGeneres Show.  He's a consulting producer on TRUtv’s hit magic series, “The Carbonaro Effect” and was a top ten finalist on NBC's “America’s Got Talent”.

Mike O'Donnell

Chicago magician Mike O’Donnell has been dazzling audiences with his unforgettable blend of mystery, wit, and pure sleight-of-hand artistry for more than two decades. O’Donnell is the Resident Magician for the Michelin-rated BOKA Restaurant Group, where he has been performing at Swift & Sons Steakhouse five nights a week for the past seven years.

Ryan Plunkett

Ryan Plunkett is a founding ensemble member of the celebrated Chicago Magic Lounge and an internationally recognized performer who has authored multiple books on his original magic. He also regularly tours and performs his one-man show “Old Fashioned Magic” across the country. He also performs at venues such as Speakeasy Magick in New York City, House of Cards in Nashville, and the legendary Magic Castle in Hollywood.

James Sanden

Rumored to have performed for a celebrity whose name rhymes with George Flucas, delightfully charming and marginally handsome magician, James Sanden, combines astonishing comedy with hysterical magic in a show his mother calls "a colossal waste of potential."

Despite his mom’s concerns, James has spent the last 20 years destroying boredom and generating joy by helping individuals, companies, and organizations produce successful events with interactive, customized entertainment. James’ magic is fast-paced, funny and mystifying, while focusing on audience impact and participation.

Dennis Watkins

The man himself, Dennis Watkins, will perform at a limited number of 3 Card Monte performances. Dennis Watkins is a third-generation magician and entertainer based in Chicago.  His critically-acclaimed show, Dennis Watkins’ The Magic Parlour: an intimate evening of classic magic, has been running in the heart of downtown Chicago, since 2009, moving to his permanent home at 50 W Randolph in October 2023.
